Wu Hongwei, currently Professor of fuel and energy at Curtin University. A professor of Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and a vice director of the Institute of Fuel and Energy technologies in Curtin University. The main research area is the energy efficient utilization of solid fuel (biomass, coal, waste, etc.). The main research directions include pyrolysis, gasification, combustion and hydrolysis, focusing on the parallel of basic research and technology development. Since 2006, he has served as Chairman of the “China-Australia Advanced Coal and Biomass Utilization Technology Forum” three times (2006, 2009, 2011). He is currently a Visiting Professor of the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China Ministry of Education-National Overseas Experts Bureau of the introduction of intelligence program (111 plan) Overseas experts, Deputy editor of the American chemical society Energy & Fuels, a leading international journal in the field of Energy research.
