Over the past five years, more than 20 international conferences have been hosted by SKLCC, including the 6thInternational Symposium on Coal Combustion, International Conference on Power Engineering as well as Sino-Australia Symposium on Advanced Coal and Biomass Utilization Technologies. Researchers of the laboratory have been invited to give more than 100 plenary reports in several international conferences. Prof. Xu and Prof. Zheng gave the keynote reports in the International Symposium on Combustion and IEA Oxyfuel Combustion Conference,respec-tively. SKLCC was evaluated by “Progress in Energy an Combus-tion Science”, as one of the most important research bases on clean coal combustion in the world and one of the most distinguished worldwide research groups on Oxy-fuel combustion.

SKLCC has carried out effective work in international collaboration. As a key partner, several international alliances have been established, including “US-China Clean Energy Research Center-Advanced Coal Technology Consortium”, “International Joint Research Center of Coal Clean Utilization”, “Sino-Australia Joint Laboratory of Coal and Biomass Utilization” and “International CCUS Industry Promotion Center of Hubei Province”. The frequent visiting and communication have been maintained between international experts and scholars. In addition, the China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy has been founded with the support of SKLCC, aiming to internationalize the cultivation of high-level talents.
