The National Energy Biogas High-Efficiency Preparation and Comprehensive Utilization Technology R&D (Experimental) Center was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. It’s a national energy research center jointly built by China Huadian Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China Agricultural University and Wuhan Optics Valley Blue Flame New Energy Co., Ltd.

There are 5 research labs and 2 R&D bases under the center. The State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion of Huazhong University of Science and Technology is mainly responsible for the construction of the “Biomass Advanced Gasification and Comprehensive Utilization Technology Research Office”. Through the capacity building of specialized laboratories and high-end experimental equipment, we have formed domestic leading scientific research achievements in the fields of biomass raw material pretreatment and modification technology, advanced biomass gasification technology, gas purification and quality improvement technology. At the same time, it has formed a complementary pattern with China Huadian Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., China Agricultural University and Wuhan Optics Valley Blue Flame New Energy Co., Ltd. in the bio-gas industry technology research and development.
